I love big data — especially all the data stored in Felixwire.
Data can tell a colorful, and sometimes eye-opening, story. Case in point: Felixwire’s data trove on electric two-wheelers.
Felix Strategy’s proprietary database is now tracking more than 750 electric two-wheeler startups, sorted in a number of categories, including e-scooters, e-bikes and e-motorcycles; e-cargo bikes; micromobility operators; e-bike battery swap services and more.
The electric two-wheeler manufacturers stored in Felixwire are well spread out geographically. If you guessed China has the greatest number of manufacturers, you’d be wrong — it ranks sixth, behind France and the UK. India? It’s number two behind the United States and ahead of Germany.
Outside of the larger markets, you can find two-wheel EV makers in Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Latvia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Thailand and Ukraine.
Micromobility operators populate such corners of the world as Belarus, Chile, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
The award for quirkiest e-bike startup? That would be Pragma Mobility, based in Biarritz, France. Its claim to fame: The only company in Felixwire offering hydrogen-powered two-wheelers.
